Day 1 - Your Arrival in Ireland and Your First Day at Leisure
If you are flying into Ireland you may well arrive early and be a little weary from your travels. Your first day therefore takes this into account and you will transfer directly to your first hotel / B&B in the beautiful village of Adare, Co. Limerick – “Ireland’s Prettiest Village”. You will spend the day at leisure exploring this wonderful location enjoying the shops, pubs, castle, monuments, and walking routes by the river. You can unwind from your travels and prepare for the tour ahead.
Day 2 – RetroVentures HQ Co. Limerick to Dublin City
250km / 150mi / 4.0hrs riding
After breakfast, you'll transfer from your hotel / B&B in Adare to the RetroVentures HQ just down the road. Here you'll get introduced to your retro ride. Tea, coffee and refreshments will be served. After a tour and safety briefing, you'll hit the road for your first ride heading east to Dublin.
You'll take a leisurely ride along the smaller byroads stopping twice on route for a break. You'll stay in Dublin city within walking distance of the main attractions. You'll take the ferry to the Isle of Man in the morning.
Day 3 to Day 16 - Isle of Man
You will take the ferry from Dublin City to Douglas on the Isle of Man. You will start your tailor made stay to suit your accommodation preferences and budget - contact us. (Shorter stays also available.)
The Isle of Man Classic TT and Manx Grand Prix will take place from Saturday 18 August through to Friday 01 September 2017. Same as the Isle of Man TT the event has a practice week and a race week. The Classic TT Race days will be on Saturday 26th August and Monday 28th August while the Manx Grand Prix race days will be on Wednesday 30th August and Friday 01st September 2017.
Day 17 - Isle of Man to Belfast
30km / 20mi / 1.5hrs riding
Take the ferry to Belfast City from Douglas and enjoy the day in Belfast exploring this wonderful city. A visit to the Transport Museum and Titanic Quarter are also on your itinerary. Stay in Belfast tonight.
Day 18 – Belfast to Derry Co. Londonderry
290km / 180mi / 4.0hrs riding
Today you’ll take a ride north via the Antrim Glens to the Old Bushmills Distillery, the famous Giant’s Causeway and Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge. Then ride to Derry for a stay just outside the city.
Day 19 – Derry Co. Londonderry to RetroVentures HQ Co. Limerick
400km / 250mi / 6.5hrs riding
Whichever way you go today you’ll cover a good few miles. Your final day will take you back to RetroVentures HQ but take a scenic jaunt across country. It is a long day but you can take it easy. You’ll pass through historic cities of Omagh and Enniskillen before making your way south through Boyle, Ennis, Limerick City and home!
Once back at the RetroVentures HQ, you can return your bike, unload your luggage, get 'de-briefed', and then you’ll be given the option of a final night’s stay in Adare with transfer, or a transfer to your next destination, whether that be the airport or another part of Ireland to continue your holidays. For those flying out the next day, we can arrange overnight accommodation in Adare or at the airport and a transfer to the airport. Transfers to Adare, or Limerick City or Shannon airport are included but a 3rd night’s accommodation will be extra.
