The Himalayan is the most versatile Royal Enfield motorcycle that can take riders almost everywhere they want to go - On road or Off-road. Ride along on a journey to the toughest terrains with the Royal Enfield Himalayan. To this end we have created our Royal Enfield Himalayan Test Days for riders that want to experience everything this class-leading motorcycle has to offer.

HIMALAYAN ADVENTURES RIGHT HEAR IN IRELAND!

OK, so it's not quite the Himalayas but our test day route will take you through some equally challenging and scenic terrain right here in Ireland. You'll get to ride a new 2022 Himalayan motorcycle all day to find out what all the fuss is about. We'll guide you around some of our county's finest country and coastal roads and take you off road to experience the full features and performance of the bike. Costs are fully inclusive and include motorcycles, insurance, fuel, guide, breakfast, lunch and refreshments.

A one day Royal Enfield Himalayan test day designed to introduce you to the motorcycle, introduce you to some potential new mates, and build skills and confidence riding small country roads and some "off-road" roads.

We provide an opportunity for you to get a taste of adventure motorcycle riding, to learn new skills, meet new people and build the confidence to plan your own off-road adventures. Who knows, you might even want to buy a Himalayan at the end of the day.

Our day starts at our RetroVentures HQ in our beautiful village of Adare, Co. Limerick. We've got plenty of parking so you can leave your own bike, bicycle or car with us free of charge, or we can collect you from the bus stop in the village if travelling by pubic transport.

You'll get assigned a Royal Enfield Himalayan motorcycle for the day in partnership with Royal Enfield Ireland at Sprocket & Hubs Motorcycle Emporium. We'll explain how the bike and all the knobs and levers work to make sure you feel comfortable and reasonably confident. We'll then head a short distance for breakfast before embarking on a day of adventure riding through beautiful west County Limerick, North County Cork and County Kerry.

We've selected routes that provide the right balance of wide, narrow, flat and steep tarmac together with gravel off road sections and some mud depending on the weather. The different riding surfaces will allow you to develop or refine your skills and confidence should develop as you go along. You will not fail to enjoy the scenic surroundings and discover roads under our guidance that you never knew existed or were too afraid to take! Regular stops and photo opportunities will enable you to take a breath and soak in the atmosphere of your adventure along the way. You'll get to try out the versatility of the Royal Enfield Himalayan and see what it is capable of.

Part way through the day we'll stop at a nice pub and get some lunch and non-alcoholic refreshments before continuing our adventure. In addition, we'll keep light refreshments in the support vehicle to quench any thirst or munchies during the day.

Our Himalayan Test Days are open to all riders aged 21 or over with a minimum full A2 motorcycle licence or equivalent and a minimum 1 year's riding experience. We are happy to accept all levels of riding skill. If you are inexperienced we will nurture you and guarantee you will not be put under any pressure or be left behind.

BROAD TERMS

Third party insurance cover is provided with all rentals and is included in the prices shown. Damage and theft is covered by the renter but is limited to a maximum of €750 in the case of damage caused by a genuine road traffic accident and theft whilst the motorcycle is locked and secured with all security devices issued. Security deposit for all rentals is €750. Himalayan experience days are guided.

You must ride with due care and attention at all times and be courteous to your guide and fellow participants.

Minimum rental age 21.

EU approved crash helmets and all riding gear are available for hire for all riders and pillions.

Luggage is not provided for test days. A steering lock is fitted as standard, a disc lock and a cable/chain lock are provided.

24 hour breakdown cover is provided.

All rental costs are inclusive of tax.

If you choose cancellation insurance when booking you can cancel up to one week in advance of the start of your rental and receive 100% of your payment as a credit note valid for 12 months from the date of the start of your original rental. If you do not use the credit note within 12 months you will not be eligible for a refund or rental.
